德國新電影 New German Cinema
範圍註 ：
從西元1969年延續到西元1980年代的德國電影運動，目睹了一群新進導演的崛起，包括雷納‧華納‧法斯賓達（Rainer Werner Fassbinder）、沃爾克‧舒倫多夫（Volker Schlöndorff）和華納‧荷索（Werner Herzog）。在西元1974年，聯邦共和國（Federal Republic）主要的廣播電視公司，德國第一公共電視台（ARD）、德國第二電視台（ZDF），以及德國聯邦電影局（German Federal Film Board）為電視公司提撥年度經費，以支持在電影院和電視播出的電影製作。結果，儘管電影的製作經費有限，但它們在藝術上極具野心，好評如潮。知名的電影包括法斯賓達（Fassbinder）西元1972年的作品，《佩特拉的苦淚》（The Bitter Tears of Petra von Kant）和舒倫多夫西元1979年的《錫鼓》（The Tin Drum）。

| 英文.... | Movement in German film lasting from about 1969 and into the 1980s that saw the emergence of a new group of director, among them Werner Rainer Fassbinder, Volker Schlöndorff, and Werner Herzog. In 1974, the Federal Republic's main broadcasters, ARD and ZDF, and the German Federal Film Board, provided for the television companies to make available an annual sum to support the production of films shown in theaters and on television. As a result, the films were artistically ambitious and critically acclaimed, despite their limited budgets. Well known films include Fassbinder's "The Bitter Tears of Petra von Kant" (1972) and Schlöndorff's "The Tin Drum" (1979). |
