種名，為矮小的落葉喬木或大型灌木，屬於桑科（Moraceae），通常可長成8至15公尺（26至49英呎）高。為雌雄異體，其雄性與雌性花朵分屬不同的植物體。它的多花果（multiple fruit）呈凹凸不平的球面，直徑7至15公分，充滿黏稠的白色乳狀樹汁。在秋天的時候，它就轉變為鮮明的黃綠色，並有一股淡淡的橘子般氣味。

桑橙木

英文....	Species of small deciduous tree or large shrub belonging to the mulberry family, Moraceae, typically growing to 8-15 m (26-49 ft) tall. It is dioeceous, with male and female flowers on different plants. The multiple fruit is bumpy and spherical, 7-15 cm in diameter, filled with a sticky white latex sap. In fall, it turns a bright yellow-green color and has a faint odor similar to that of oranges.
