含兩種樹棲哺乳類動物的屬,以緩慢的動作著名,原產於中南美洲的低地熱帶林,與二趾樹懶不同之處在於,牠們體型較小,移動速度也稍慢,大部分時間顛倒懸掛於樹枝上,而非坐在樹上。
