金剛猩猩 Gorilla gorilla(species)
範圍註 ：
為體型龐大、聰明、群居之人科動物。西部大猩猩與東部大猩猩不同之處在於，其毛色較淺、鼻子尖端有突出物、體型較纖瘦，較多樹棲行為，飲食較以肉質果為基礎，家族通常較小。
