殼椎目為已滅絕之生物群;與兩棲動物相似,但近代的分類,未將殼椎目列入兩棲綱。殼椎目包含各種半水生動物,例如外形似蛇的蛇螈、有角的游螈類、以及包括Asaphestera的鱗鯢類。殼椎目動物於賓夕法尼亞亞紀時期滅絕。

英文....Extinct group that resembled amphibians but are often not included within the Amphibia class in the most recent classifications. This group contained a great variety of semiaquatic forms such as the snakelike Ophiderpeton, the "horned" Keraterpeton, and the microsaurs, such as Asaphestera. The lepospondylians became extinct during the Pennsylvanian subperiod.
