指電腦製圖的最小電子顯像單位。黑白顯像時，像素值可能顯示開或關。彩色顯像時，顯色值受限於螢幕的「像素深度」，此「像素深度」以位元計算。電腦顯像的解析度也是以像素計算：像素的數值越高，影像解析度越高。

英文....Refers to the smallest unit of an electronic display of computer-generated imagery. In a black and white display this unit registers as either on or off. With a color display, the number of colors that may be displayed are limited by the screen's 'pixel depth,' measured in bits. The resolution of computer displays is also measured in pixels: the higher the number of pixels, the greater the resolution of the image displayed.
荷蘭語....Te gebruiken voor de kleinste eenheid van elektrische weergave van door de computer gegenereerde beelden. Op een zwart-witscherm kent deze eenheid uitsluitend de positie aan of uit. Op een kleurenscherm wordt het aantal kleuren dat kan worden weergegeven, beperkt door de ‘pixeldiepte’ van het scherm, die in pixels wordt uitgedrukt; hoe hoger het aantal pixels, hoe hoger de resolutie (oplossend vermogen) van het weergegeven beeld.
