英文....	People who select and play pre-recorded music for an audience, or an event. Originally, the term specifically referred to radio or television announcers that played, selected, and announced phonograph records. From the late 20th century, the practice of DJing has expanded to include the live manipulation of recordings using a variety of techniques such as "mixing" and "scratching". DJing has also become an accepted art form as it pertains to sound manipulation.
荷蘭語....	Personen die opgenomen muziek selecteren en afspelen ten behoeve van een publiek of bij een evenement. Van oorsprong verwees de term in specifieke zin naar radio- en tv-medewerkers die platen afspeelden, selecteerden en aankondigden. Sinds de laatste jaren van de 20ste eeuw houden DJ's zich ook bezig met het live manipuleren van opnamen met behulp van allerlei technieken, zoals 'mixen' en 'scratchen'. Inmiddels omvat het werk van een DJ ook het manipuleren van geluid, waardoor het DJ-en is uitgegroeid tot een geaccepteerde kunstvorm.

Originalmente, el término se refería especialmente a anunciadores de radio o televisión que tocaban, seleccionaban y anunciaban grabaciones fonográficas. Desde fines del siglo XX, la práctica Djing se ha expandido e incluye la manipulación en vivo de grabaciones, empleando una variedad de técnicas como la "mezcla" y el "scratching". El Djing se ha convertido en una forma artística aceptada para la manipulación de sonido.
