十字苦路 Stations of the Cross
範圍註 ：
是指一系列共十四幅的祈禱圖畫或者是雕刻作品，回溯呈現自耶穌基督被定罪到下葬的受難記。在十四幅畫前一幅幅地觀視並祈禱的祈禱奉獻活動，是起源於早期基督教朝聖者走訪耶路撒冷各個事件發生地點，並沿著由所謂彼拉多之家所在地開始至基督被釘上十字架之髑髏地（Calvary）的傳統路線步行之舉。在羅馬天主教堂與部份英國聖公會教堂中，十字苦路是在大齋期（指復活節前的四十天）與耶穌受難節（即大齋期的最後兩週）期間個人及私人祈禱默想的主題。這些圖像一般是鑲置在教堂或小禮拜堂的內側牆壁上，也可以設置在墓地、醫院、宗教場所或山坡上。天主教方濟會教徒在中古世紀晚期將拜苦路的祈禱儀式加以推廣普及。

| 英文.... | Refers to a series of fourteen devotional pictures or carvings recalling the passion of Christ from his condemnation to his burial. The devotional exercise of visiting and praying in front of each of the 14 stations originates from the practice of early Christian pilgrims who visited the scenes of the events in Jerusalem and walked the traditional route from the supposed location of Pilate's house to Calvary. The Stations of the Cross are the subject of personal and private devotions during Lent and Passiontide in Roman Catholic and some Anglican churches. The images are typically mounted on the inside walls of a church or chapel but may also be installed in such places as cemeteries, hospitals, religious houses, and on mountainsides. The Franciscans popularized this form of devotion in the late Middle Ages. |
| 荷蘭語.... | Verwijst naar een reeks van veertien devotiebeelden of beeldsnijwerken die het passieverhaal van Christus uitbeelden, van zijn veroordeling tot zijn teraardebestelling. De godsdienstige praktijk van het aandoen van en bidden voor alle veertien staties stamt uit de tijd van de vroege christelijke pelgrims, die de locaties van de gebeurtenissen in Jeruzalem bezochten en de traditionele route van de vermeende locatie van het huis van Pilatus naar de Calvarieberg liepen. De kruisweg werd ook gebruikt voor persoonlijke en besloten aanbidding tijdens de vasten- en passietijd in rooms-katholieke en sommige anglicaanse kerken. De beelden zijn meestal bevestigd op de binnenmuren van een kerk of kapel, maar kunnen ook zijn aangebracht op locaties als begraafplaatsen, ziekenhuizen, religieuze gebouwen en op bergwanden. De franciscaner monniken maakten deze vorm van aanbidding in de late middeleeuwen populair. |
