宰牲節 Id al Adha
範圍註 ：
兩個典型伊斯蘭教節日之一，在麥加朝聖期結束之時，於每年最後一個月（爾黑哲月）的第10天開始及之後的3天之間慶祝。這個節日是為了紀念亞伯拉罕犧牲自己兒子的行為。回教徒深信，亞伯拉罕的犧牲發生在麥加外的米納城。穆罕默德在麥地那第2年開始慶祝這個節日，當時早期的回教徒要到麥加朝聖是不可能的事情。宰牲節以歡愉的氣氛、享受美食與穿著新衣為主要特色。所有負擔得起的人，都應該奉獻合律法的動物祭品（如綿羊、山羊、駱駝或牛），然後再均分給自家、親朋好友、鄰居與窮人。

| 英文.... | One of the two canonical festivals of Islam. This festival occurs at the end of the period of the Mecca pilgrimage, on the tenth and following three days of the last month of the year, Dhu al-Hijjah. The festival commemorates the willingness of Abraham to sacrifice his son. Abraham's sacrifice is believed by Muslims to have occurred at Mina outside of Mecca. Muhammad started this festival during his second year at Medina when it was impossible for early Muslims to observe the pilgrimage to Mecca. Id al Adha is marked by rejoicing, feasting, and the wearing of new clothes. All who can afford to are supposed to sacrifice a legal animal (sheep, goats, camels, or cattle) and then equally distribute the meat among themselves, friends, neighbors, and the poor. |
| 荷蘭語.... | Een van de twee canonieke feesten van de islam. Dit feest wordt gehouden aan het eind van de pelgrimage naar Mekka, op de tiende dag en de drie dagen daarna van de laatste maand van het jaar, Dhu al-Hijjah. Tijdens dit feest wordt herdacht dat Abraham bereid was zijn zoon te offeren. Volgens de moslims vond Abrahams offer plaats bij Mina, even buiten Mekka. Mohammed begon met dit feest tijdens het tweede jaar van zijn verblijf in Medina, toen de pelgrimage naar Mekka voor de eerste moslims een onmogelijke onderneming was. Id al Adha wordt gekenmerkt door vreugdebetoon, uitbundige maaltijden en door nieuwe kleren te dragen. Iedereen die zich dat kan veroorloven, wordt geacht een voorgeschreven dier te offeren (schapen, geiten, kamelen of vee) en het vlees gelijkelijk onder elkaar, vrienden, buren en de armen te verdelen. |
