範圍註 ：
典型的回教節日之一，於回曆10月頭三日間舉行，緊接著就是齋戒月。回教徒會以集體詠誦節慶祈禱詞和作特殊佈施，來慶祝該節日。這3天是拜訪朋友、送禮、穿新衣、享受盛宴、互道恭喜與造訪親人墳坟的時機。官方亦會舉行慶祝會。為大部分回教世界的公定節日。

英文....One of the two canonical festivals of Islam. Falling on the first three days of the month of Shawwal, the festival immediately follows the fasting month of Ramadan. The festival is celebrated with the communal saying of the special Id prayer and special alms are given. These three days are a time for visiting friends, presenting gifts, wearing new clothes, feasting, congratulating one another, and visiting the graves of relatives. Official celebratory receptions are also held. This festival is also a public holiday throughout much of the Islamic world.
荷蘭語....Een van de twee canonieke feesten van de islam. Het feest valt in de eerste drie dagen van de maand Shawwal, direct na de vastenmaand ramadan, en wordt gevierd met de gezamenlijke recitatie van het speciale Id-gebed en het afstaan van speciale aalmoezen. Deze drie dagen worden gebruikt om vrienden te bezoeken, geschenken te geven, nieuwe kleren te dragen, uitbundige maaltijden te gebruiken, elkaar te feliciteren en de graven van verwanten te bezoeken, Ook worden officiële recepties ter ere van dit feest gehouden. Dit feest is in grote delen van de islamitische wereld tevens een nationale vakantieperiode.
