英文....Refers to combined software and hardware systems that relate and display collected information concerning phenomena associated with location relative to the Earth. They often have the ability to overlay temporal information or information related to geology, ecology, weather, land use, demographics, transportation, or other data on top of existing geographic base data. The data are typically presented in the form of maps or tables, displayed in color on a computer screen or printed out.
荷蘭語....Verwijst naar gecombineerde software- en hardwaresystemen voor het relateren en verzamelen van gegevens met betrekking tot verschijnselen die verband houden met de positie ten opzichte van de aarde. Vaak kunnen dergelijke systemen tijdsgerelateerde gegevens of gegevens met betrekking tot geologie, ecologie, meteorologie, landgebruik, demografie, transport of andere gegevens over bestaande geografische basisgegevens heen projecteren. De gegevens worden meestal gepresenteerd in de vorm van landkaarten of tabellen, in kleur op een computerscherm weergegeven, of afgedrukt.

A menudo tienen la habilidad de superponer información temporal o información relacionada a la geología, ecología, clima, usos del suelo, demografía, transporte u otros datos por encima de las bases de datos geográficas existente.
