特指活躍於美加的一支自由派新教派別，於十八世紀始於一個組織運動，十九世紀成為獨立派別。其基本信仰為拯救所有靈魂，不相信只有少數人獲選而多數人會下地獄的達爾文說法。其他信條包括個人詮釋自由、對多樣化的寬容，及全人類皆有與生俱來的價值及尊嚴。西元1961年與「一位論(Unitarianism)」合併成為一支新的派別，稱作「一位普救會(Unitarian Universalism)」。亦泛指多次出現在基督教歷史中的普世救贖觀念，最早見於西元三世紀奧利金(Origen)的書面論述中。

英文....	Specifically the liberal Protestant denomination active in the United States and Canada, starting first as an organized movement in the 18th century and achieving denominational status in the 19th century. Its basic and defining belief was in the salvation of all souls, rejecting the Calvinist doctrine of the election of a few and the damnation of many. Other principles included the freedom of individual interpretation, tolerance of diversity, and the inherent worth and dignity of all human beings. In 1961 it merged with "Unitarianism" to form a new denomination "Unitarian Universalism." Use also generally for the doctrine of universal salvation that has appeared at various times in Christian history, starting with the writings of Origen in the third century.
荷蘭語....	In het bijzonder te gebruiken voor de vrijzinnig protestantse beweging in de Verenigde Staten en Canada, die in de 18de eeuw voor het eerst als georganiseerde beweging van zich deed spreken en een confessionele status verkreeg in de 19de eeuw. Haar belangrijkste beginsel is het geloof in de redding van alle zielen, waarmee ze de calvinistische leer van de uitverkiezing van enkelen en de verdoemenis van velen afwijzen. Andere beginselen zijn onder meer de vrijheid van individuele interpretatie, tolerantie tegenover diversiteit en de onvervreemdbare waarde en waardigheid van iedere mens.In 1961 fuseerde deze beweging met de unitaristische beweging, waardoor het ‘unitaristisch universalisme’ ontstond.
