英文....Generally, the process of cutting or scraping the surface of something with a sharp-edged tool so as to remove a thin layer or unwanted extra material. In the context of skin and hide preparation, denotes the beamhouse operation of removing hair or excess dermal material to create an even thickness. In the context of bookbinding, for the removal of a small amount of material from the edges of a book, use "trimming."
荷蘭語....In het algemeen te gebruiken voor het knippen of afschrapen van een oppervlak met scherp gereedschap om een dunne laag ongewenst materiaal te verwijderen. In de context van het bereiden van vellen en huiden te gebruiken voor de nathuisbewerkingen, waarbij haar of overbodig huidmateriaal wordt verwijderd om een gelijke dikte te creëren. Gebruik 'bijsnijden' in de context van het boekbinden voor het verwijderen van kleine hoeveelheden materiaal van boeksneden.
西班牙語....Proceso de recorte o raspar la superficie de algo con un instrumento afilado para quitar una capa delgada(fina) o material no deseado suplementario. En el contexto de piel y la preparación , use para la operación de quitar el pelo o el exceso de piel o material hasta el grosor deseado. En el contexto de encuadernación, para el retiro de una pequeña cantidad de material de los bordes de un libro, emplee "adorno".
