英文....The process of cutting spiral grooves in the surface of a firearm projectile or the bore of a firearm barrel, also for the system of grooves so cut. The grooves impart a spinning motion to the projectile, thus equalizing its balance in flight and stabilizing its trajectory.
荷蘭語....Wordt gebruikt voor het procédé waarbij spiraalvormige groeven in het oppervlak van een vuurwapenprojectiel of in het kaliber van de loop worden gesneden, en voor het systeem van groeven die op die manier zijn gemaakt. De groeven geven het projectiel een draaiende beweging waardoor zijn balans in de lucht gelijk wordt getrokken en zijn baan gestabiliseerd.
