英文....	Pieces of plate armor attached to the breastplate, early in their development only to the lower half but later extending over the whole, doubling its thickness. They served as double pieces for both tournament and field armor, becoming increasingly common as firearms increased in power.
荷蘭語....	Metalen platen die in het begin aan het onderste gedeelte, maar later over het gehele borststuk werden vastgemaakt, waardoor de dikte werd verdubbeld. Ze deden dienst als versterkingsstukken voor zowel toernooi- als velduitrusting, en werden steeds meer gemeengoed naarmate de vuurkracht van wapens toenam.
西班牙語....	Pedazos de placa unidos a la coraza, inicialmente en su desarrollo solamente se usaba en la mitad inferior pero más adelante se extendieron, doblando su grueso. Sirvieron para el torneo y la armadura de guerra, llegando a ser cada vez más comunes.
