中國類似魯特琴的短頸弦鳴樂器，具有梨狀琴身、四根絲弦或尼龍弦，琴頸和琴肚上十至二十四個不等的琴品。演奏時將琵琶放置於膝上或大腿上，垂直手持琵琶，以指撥弦彈奏。
