覆蓋色(顏料層) overpaint(paint layer)
範圍註 ：
在畫作已乾燥的部位所塗上的顏料。有時指原先畫家所施的透明色層及薄塗色層；在修補方面，則專指後代修復師所進行的修復工作。至於僅填補剝落部位，而不覆蓋原有顏料的維護工作，則使用「補筆」一詞。

| 英文.... | Paint applied to a painting over already dry areas. Sometimes used to include the original artist's glazes and scumbles; sometimes, especially in conservation, used to mean only later restorers' work. For restoration work that only fills in lost areas without covering original paint, use "inpainting." |
| 荷蘭語.... | Verf aangebracht op een schilderij over de reeds opgedroogde oppervlakken. Wordt soms ook gebruikt voor het oorspronkelijke glazuurwerk en de lazuurkleuren die door de kunstenaar zijn gebruikt. In conservatie wordt de term meestal alleen gebruikt voor het latere restauratiewerk. Gebruik 'bijschilderen' voor restauratiewerk dat alleen verloren oppervlakken vult zonder de oorspronkelijke verf te bedekken. |
