範圍註：

指附書架和斜蓋(通常為45度斜角)的英式和歐式書桌。類似的美式家具則稱為「書桌和書櫃」。該形式由寫字桌發展出來：十八世紀早期，其中一種寫字桌在傾斜的寫字台下加設抽屜，並有該時期的經典螺旋彎桌腳。當時許多寫字桌都附有書櫃，常設有玻璃門或木門。荷蘭家具製造商研發這種家具形式，巧妙地結合抽屜和櫥櫃，製造出「寫字桌櫃」，此類家具大受歡迎，並流傳到歐洲其他地區。

英文....	Refers to English and European desks with a steeply sloping lid (usually a 45-degree angle) surmounted by a bookcase. For similar American examples use "desks and bookcases." The furniture type developed from the bureau. In the early 18th century one form of bureau comrpised drawers below a sloping writing flap, resting on cabriole legs. Many bureaus of this period and earlier were surmounted by a bookcase, often enclosed by glazed or unglazed doors. Dutch furniture makers developed the form, creating the "bureau-bookcase," which was often fitted with an ingenious combination of drawers and compartments. It became very popular, and spread to other parts of Europe.
荷蘭語....	Verwijst naar Engelse en andere Europese bureaus met een zeer schuin geplaatst schrijfblad (meestal onder een hoek van 45 graden) met daarboven een boekenkast. Gebruik 'desks and bookcases' voor soortgelijke Amerikaanse voorbeelden. Dit meubeltype heeft zich ontwikkeld uit het bureau. Aan het begin van de 18de eeuw bestond er een type bureau dat bestond uit laden onder een schuin aflopend schrijfblad, geplaatst op cabriolepoten. Op veel bureaus uit deze periode en eerder was een boekenkast geplaatst, vaak met al dan niet beglaasde deuren. Hollandse meubelmakers werkten de vorm verder uit en creëerden zo de 'bureau-boekenkast', die vaak is voorzien van een vernuftige combinatie van laden en vakken. Dit type bureau werd zeer populair en verspreidde zich ook naar andere delen van Europa.
西班牙語....	Úsese para escritorios ingleses con una tapa inclinada en pendiente (normalmente en un ángulo de 45 grados) que soporta una librería. Para modelos americanos parecidos use "secrétaire y librería.”
