在塗銀的銅版上製作出直接正像的印相法，為法國的路易斯賈克斯曼迪˙達吉瑞（Louis-Jacques-Mandé Daguerre）和約瑟夫尼賽福爾˙尼耶皮斯（Joseph-Nicéphore Niepce）於1830年代所發明。在過程中，塗有碘化銀的銅版在相機中進行曝光，然後以水銀蒸汽燻過，再於食鹽溶劑來固定影像。

英文....	Process that produces a direct positive image on a silver-coated copper plate, invented by Louis-Jacques-Mandé Daguerre of France and Joseph-Nicéphore Niepce in the 1830s. In the process, a copper plate is coated with silver iodide and exposed to light in a camera, then fumed with mercury vapour and fixed with common salt in solution.
