英文....	Use generally for spears having a very sharply pointed steel head, somtimes with a hook or pick on the side. Use particularly for the very long type, from 16 to 22 feet in length, having a small leaf- or lozenge-shaped head, used by infantry as a defense against cavalry from the late 15th to the mid-17th century.

Speren met een stalen kop met een zeer scherpe punt en soms met een haak of een punt aan de zijkant, doorgaans 5 tot 6 meter lang en met een kleine blad- of ruitvormige kop; door de infanterie gebruikt als afweermiddel tegen de cavalerie van het eind van de 15e eeuw tot halverwege de 17e eeuw.
西班牙語....	Úsese generalmente para lanzas que tienen una cabeza de acero muy puntiaguda y afilada, a veces con un gancho o uñeta al lado. Úsese especialmente para el tipo de lanza muy larga, de 16 a 22 pies de longitud, con una pequeña cabeza en forma de hoja o de rombo, usada por la infantería para defenderse de la caballería, desde las postrimerías del siglo XV hasta mediados del siglo XVII.
