英文....	Lettering marked on something, especially for documentation or commemoration. On prints, the specific information lettered on the print, not usually part of a larger text. Regarding material from the ancient period, includes most preserved written matter of any length, other than papyri. For standardized symbols or notations on objects that convey official information, use "marks (symbols)."
荷蘭語....	Wordt gebruikt voor gegraveerde of gebeitelde opschriften, met name met documentatie of herdenking als doel. Bij afdrukken wordt de term gebruikt voor de inhoud van de inscriptie, die meestal geen deel uitmaakt van een langere tekst. Wanneer de term wordt gebruikt in verband met materiaal uit de oudheid, dan kan deze van toepassing zijn op de meeste bewaard gebleven geschreven stukken, ongeacht de lengte, met uitzondering van papyrusrollen. Gebruik 'merktekens' voor gestandaardiseerde symbolen of opschriften die officiële informatie bevatten.
西班牙語....	Úsese para caracteres escritos en algo, especialmente para documentación o conmemoración. En impresiones, la información específica escrita en el impreso, que generalmente no forma parte de un texto mayor. Con respecto al material antiguo, incluye la mayor parte del material escrito preservado de cualquier longitud, no así los papiros. Para símbolos estandardizados o anotaciones en objetos que comunican información oficial, use " marca (símbolo)."
