指描繪天球(celestial sphere)的球形物，把從地球可見的天空視為一球體，呈現天際中的恆星、星座、以及行星。用於天文學或占星術計算，或當作裝飾品。從古希臘時代便已出現天球儀。天球儀係用來描畫天空，一般指夜空，對地球上的觀測者而言，看來像是停在地平線上的半球體。當地球繞軸線向東自轉時，滿佈星體的天體看似每日向西旋轉，而恆星則似乎繞著北天極或南天極旋轉。若指將天球儀投射呈現在平面上，以「平面天體圖」稱之。

英文....	Refers to globes that depict the celestial sphere, which is a representation of the heavens in which the stars, constellations, and planets are depicted as if the sky visible from Earth were a ball. They were used for astronomical or astrological calculations or as ornaments. They have been known since the time of the ancient Greeks. The globes are intended to depict the heavens, generally the night sky, that to an observer on Earth appears as a hemisphere resting on the horizon. The eastward rotation of the Earth on its axis produces an apparent diurnal westward rotation of the starry sphere, and the stars seem to rotate around a northern or southern celestial pole. For representations of the celestial sphere projected onto a flat plane, use "planispheres."
荷蘭語....	Verwijst naar globes met de afbeelding van het hemelgewelf, waarbij de sterren en planeten zijn weergegeven alsof de hemel vanaf de aarde zichtbaar zou zijn als een bolvorm. Hemelglobes werden gebruikt voor astronomische of astrologische berekeningen, of als ornament. Hemelglobes zijn reeds bekend sinds de oude Grieken. De globes dragen een afbeelding van de sterrenhemel, meestal de nachtelijke sterrenhemel, alsof die aan een waarnemer op aarde verschijnt als een halfrond dat op de horizon rust. De rotatie van de aarde om zijn as in oostelijke richting resulteert in een ogenschijnlijke rotatie van de sterrenhemel in westelijke richting, terwijl de sterren lijken te draaien rond een noordelijke of zuidelijke hemelpool. Gebruik 'planisferen' voor weergaven van het hemelgewelf die zijn geprojecteerd op een plat vlak.
西班牙語....	Se refiere a globos que muestran la bóveda celeste, que es una representación del cielo donde las estrellas, las constelaciones y los planetas son representados como si el cielo fuese visto desde la Tierra como una esfera. Se usaban para cálculos astronómicos o astrológicos o como ornamentos. Se conocen desde los tiempos de los antiguos griegos. Los globos representan la bóveda celeste, generalmente el cielo de noche, que para un observador en la Tierra parece un hemisferio descansando sobre el horizonte. La rotación hacia el este de la tierra sobre su eje produce una aparente rotación diurna hacia el oeste de la esfera y las estrellas parecen rotar alrededor del polo celestial norte o sur. Para representaciones de la esfera celestial proyectada sobre una superficie plana, use "planisferio".
