範圍註：

Refers to the period, civilization, and artistic styles that developed when the ancient city of Rome became a powerful force and supplanted Greek and Etruscan influence on the Apennine peninsula. Its rule and influence gradually encompassed a wide area in Europe, northern Africa, the Middle East, and Asia Minor. Its influence was wide in scope, including sculpture, painting, architecture, engineering, language, the road system, law, and many other areas of culture. Roman art and architecture is characterized by early derivations from Greek art and architecture, but it gradually developed into a style of its own, absorbing characteristics of styles from the far flung regions under its control.
荷蘭語....	Verwijst naar de periode, beschaving en artistieke stijl die zich ontwikkelde toen het oude Rome aan macht won en de Griekse en Etruskische invloed op het Apennijnse schiereiland verdrong.De heerschappij en invloed besloegen op den duur een groot deel van Europa, Noord-Afrika, het Midden-Oosten en Klein-Azië. De Romeinse invloed liet zich op vele vlakken gelden, onder meer in de beeldhouwkunst, de schilderkunst, de architectuur, de techniek, de taal, het wegennet, de wetgeving en op vele andere culturele terreinen. De vroege Romeinse kunst en cultuur zijn afgeleid van de Griekse kunst en cultuur, maar ontwikkelden zich geleidelijk tot een eigen stijl, onder invloed van de verschillende kunststijlen uit de verre streken die onder Romeins gezag stonden.

Se refiere al período, civilización y estilos artísticos que se desarrollaron cuando la ciudad antigua de Roma se convirtió en una fuerza poderosa y substituyó la influencia griega y Etrusca en la península Apenina. Su dominio e influencia gradualmente se extendió en una amplia área en Europa, África del Norte, el Mediano Oriente y Asia Menor. Su influencia fue de gran alcance, incluyendo la escultura, pintura, arquitectura, ingeniería, lenguaje, el sistema de caminos, ley y muchas otras áreas de la cultura. El arte romano y la arquitectura se caracterizan por derivaciones tempranas del arte y arquitectura griego, pero gradualmente desarrolló su propio estilo, absorbiendo características de los estilos de las vastas regiones bajo su control.
