克里 Cree
範圍註 ：
指一個北美印地安部落（為阿爾根金語系的主要部落之一）所製作的藝術作品。該族群所分布的範圍包括：哈德遜灣與詹姆斯灣以東的廣大區域，遠至今日加拿大境內的亞伯達省與大奴湖區。該族群起初的分布範圍較小，十七至十八世紀時，因毛皮貿易獲得火器槍砲而得以快速拓展；但因與達科塔蘇族及黑腳族之間的爭戰，以及一場嚴重的天花瘟疫後，該族群人數大幅減少。克里族（Cree）是「克里斯提諾克斯」（Kristineaux）的簡稱，為將詹姆斯灣地區部落自稱之名法語化所得之名稱。

| 英文.... | Refers to the artwork produced by one of the major Algonquian-speaking North American Indian tribes, whose domain included a large area from east of the Hudson and James bays to as far west as Alberta and the Great Slave Lake in what is now Canada. Originally inhabiting a smaller area, they expanded rapidly in the 17th and 18th centuries acquiring firearms through the fur trade, although wars with the Dakota Sioux and Blackfoot, and a severe smallpox epidemic, greatly reduced their numbers. The name Cree is a truncated form of Kristineaux, a French adaptation of the self-name of the James Bay band. |
