古典期晚期 Late Classic
範圍註 ：
指古代中美洲約從西元600年至西元900年在藝術表現上的分期。其雕塑風格依地區而有所不同：鐵拉布蘭卡地區的陶器和瓷碗上以模製法製作高浮雕儀式性場景裝飾；諾皮洛亞的塑像一般而言以模製法製作，但外層上有乳脂色的泥釉。在大部分的地區，以站姿或坐姿女性形象的陶器和泥塑為重要特徵，常著華麗的頭飾、珠串項鍊與蛇形結腰帶；繪有精緻寫實和想像動物之乳脂色泥釉碗亦為其陶器特色之一，並有成對或三人一組出現的特殊裝束人物像 。該時期的寶石雕琢藝術以三種與神聖球賽有關的形式為主：揚格、帕爾馬與哈恰。在建築上，石碑和祭壇的結構特徵為巨大、高浮雕的獸形正面圖象，並飾有極細緻的服飾細節。該時期之繪畫風格描繪出置身於金字塔、王座、樓梯和市場空間之城市脈絡中的人物，鮮豔的色彩為其特徵。此時的壁畫描繪深具表現性的歷史、軍事和宗教儀式性場景，用於裝飾神殿和拱頂。

| 英文.... | Refers to the period of art in Mesoamerica from around 600 CE to 900 CE. Sculptural styles of the period varied according to region. In Tierra Blanca, pottery and ceramic bowls featured mold-made ritual scenes in high relief. Figures from Nopiloa are commonly mold-made but coated with a cream-colored slip. In most regions, pottery and clay sculpture prominently feature standing and seated female figures with ornate headdresses, beaded necklaces, and knotted snake belts and include cream-slipped bowls finely painted with realistic and imaginary animals and costumed figures organized in pairs or trios. Lapidary art of the period features three forms associated with a sacred ball-game: the yuog, palma, and hacha. In architecture, the style exhibits stelae and altar structures that feature large, zoomorphic frontal figures in high relief, decorated with dense costume designs. Painting styles of the period represent humans in urban contexts among pyramids, thrones, staircases, and market places and feature rich colors as symbols. Murals of the period depict expressive historical, military, and ritual scenes and decorate temples and vaults. |

In Tierra Blanca bevatten aardewerk en schalen van keramiek rituele taferelen in hoogreliëf die met een mal waren gemaakt. Figuren uit Nopiloa zijn meestal gemaakt met behulp van een mal, maar bedekt met een crèmekleurig engobe. In de meeste regio's worden bij aardewerk en kleibeelden staande en zittende vrouwelijke figuren afgebeeld met sierlijke hoofdtooien, kralenkettingen en geknoopte slangenriemen. Las figuras de Nopiloa se confeccionaban normalmente en moldes y se cubrían posteriormente con una capa de color crema. En la mayoría de las regiones, la alfarería y las esculturas de arcilla, presentan sobre todo figuras femeninas de pie o sentadas con ornamentos en sus cabelleras, collares de cuentas y cintos de serpiente anudados, además de una cobertura crema sobre las vasijas, finamente pintadas con imaginería animal realista y figuras organizadas en pares o tríos. El arte lapidario de este periodo presenta tres formas asociadas con el sagrado juego de la pelota: el yuog, palma y hacha.
