取自可可椰子果實外皮之堅硬粗糙的棕色纖維，可用於製作刷子、墊子、繩索與粗布。椰殼纖維原產於印度與東南亞，在這些地區的使用歷史可追溯至遠古時代，於西元十三世紀時由馬可波羅引進歐洲。

可可椰子

英文....	Stiff, coarse, brown fibers derived from the outer bark of the fruit of the coconut palm, Cocos nucifera, used in making brushes, mats, cord, and coarse cloth. Coir is native to India and southeast Asia where it has been used since ancient times. It was introduced to Europe by Marco Polo in the 13th century.
