取自巴西黑黃檀種喬木的木材，此樹原產於巴西，木材為紅棕色，質地緻密，因在西元二十世紀初遭到過度砍伐，現已變得極為稀有，是極具價值的裝飾用木材，以前用於製造家具、櫥櫃以及刀柄。雖亦有人稱為「巴西驅梅樹」，但並非取自巴西驅梅樹屬的木材。

Brazilian rosewood is extremely rare because the trees were overharvested in the early 20th century.
