英文.... 荷蘭語....	Hoger technisch onderwijs-instelling. Opvolger van de Polytechnische School en later omgezet in technische universiteiten.
西班牙語....	Se distingue de "universidad" por las técnicas tradicionales de capacitación en negocios, industria y comercio para un área local inmediata, tener menos instalaciones residenciales y ofrecer más clases de tiempo parcial. Para instituciones educacionales que ponen un mayor énfasis en la enseñanza de la agricultura y de oficios específicos, empléese "escuela vocacional".
