範圍註：

座落在高樓大廈中、設有火災時防煙霧系統的樓梯井。樓梯井中以風扇加壓或其他裝置，將室外的新鮮空氣從建築外牆或樓梯井下的通風管道導入室內。通風系統會逐漸導入空氣進入樓梯井，直至樓梯井的空氣壓力比同棟的樓層高為止。由於樓梯井的大門必須從建物內部朝出口處打開，因此每個地點有適當的氣壓標準，以防止氣壓過高而讓門容易打開。

英文....	Stairwells equipped with a system that prevents stairwells in highrise buildings from becoming smoke-filled in case of fire. Stairwells are pressurized by using fans or otherwise forcing fresh outside air through air ducts in the building's exterior walls and down the stairwell shafts. As the system pumps increasingly more air into the stairwells, the air pressure rises until it is greater than the air pressure on the building's floors. Given that stairwell doors must open into stairwells in the direction of egress from the building interior, standards are typically in place to regulate the pressure so that it is not too great to prevent ease of opening.
