菌類的綱，其成員可生成稱為「子囊」的囊狀構造，子囊中的囊孢子可能存在於密閉的子實體（子囊果）或孢子團中；最為人熟知的屬包括：包含幾個海生菌類物種的刺殼腔菌屬（刺盾炱目）、包含具有突出如疣之子囊盤的小核衣屬（小核衣目），以及包含幾種已確認具有有性世代的麴菌的散囊菌屬（散囊菌目）。
