原生於東南亞的大型常綠喬木。樹皮色淡、粗糙，有垂直狀裂縫；樹葉有光澤，揉碎會散發出樟腦氣味。具有明亮的綠色葉叢、成簇的小白花，黑色小果實成串生長。樟木帶有辛辣的氣味。在澳洲被認為是外來的入侵物種。

英文....	Species of large evergreen tree native to southeastern Asia. The bark is pale in color and rough and fissured vertically; the leaves have are glossy and smell of camphor when crushed. The tree produces bright green foliage with masses of small white flowers, and clusters of small black fruits. Camphorwood has a pungent smell. The camphor tree is considered an invasive species in Australia.
