棕褐色調的厚硬挺織物，染成此色是為了使之看似羊皮製皮革。用作書布，可取代較為昂貴的皮革如「淺棕色上等小牛皮」、「上等法律書裝訂綿羊革」，其為二十世紀常用來裝訂法律書籍的淺棕色上等皮革。
