高希臘化時期 High Hellenistic
範圍註 ：
指稱自西元前220年至西元前150年年間發展之希臘化時期的極盛時期。此時期起始於羅馬戰勝馬其頓，且敘利亞企圖取得霸權、而權力與財富正從東部王國轉移至羅馬之時。其顯著的特色是幾項重大的雕塑與建築計畫方案，其形式遙遠地呼應古典時期的榮耀與繁盛。在藝術與建築方面，此時期的特徵為新古典風格（neo-Classical style）與以更加生動的姿態和嶄新的情感表達手法所重塑而成的構圖形式，可見於具影響力的重要作品之上，如貝加瑪市的「宙斯的聖壇」（Altar of Zeus）和在亞歷山卓的埃及托勒密（Ptolemaic）王朝的宮廷藝術。
