前方開襟以露出襯裙，或前襟採用材質截然不同之三角形布片的連衣裙，具領圈、翻領和長衣袖，上半身可能採高腰剪裁且有雙排扣，主要在1820至1860年代間由女性穿著。至於具雙排或單排扣及喇叭形下襬的短大衣或長大衣，則稱為「騎裝外套（大衣）」。

英文....	Dresses open in front to show an underskirt or with a front gore of contrasting material, with collar and lapels and long sleeves. Bodice may be double-breasted and high-waisted; worn especially during the 1820s through the 1860s. For double- or single-breasted three-quarter length or full-length fitted overcoats with flared skirts, use "redingote (overcoats)."
荷蘭語....	Japonnen, ook bedoeld om buiten te dragen, open aan de voorkant, zodat de onderrok zichtbaar is, of met een voorpand in contrasterend materiaal, met een kraag en revers en lange mouwen. Het lijfje kan twee rijen knopen hebben en een hoge of gewone taille; laat 18e-eeuws.
西班牙語....	Vestido abierto por la parte delantera para mostar una bajofalda o con una abertura frontal de material contrastado, con cuello y solapas y mangas largas. El cuerpo puede ser de doble pecho y cintura alta; se llevó especialmente durante las décadas que van de 1820 a 1860.
