英文....	Mechanical combinations of two or more substances in no definite proportions, within which the constituent substances retain their individual properties and are separable by ordinary physical means. For complex pure substances made up of two or more elements in definite proportions which lose their individual properties and are held together by chemical bonds, use "compounds."
荷蘭語....	Mechanische combinaties van twee of meer substanties zonder vaste verhoudingen, waarbij de bestanddelen hun individuele eigenschappen behouden en met gewone fysische middelen kunnen worden gescheiden. Gebruik 'verbindingen' voor complexe zuivere substanties die zijn gemaakt van twee of meer afzonderlijke stoffen die hun afzonderlijke eigenschappen verliezen en bij elkaar worden gehouden door chemische bindingen.
西班牙語....	Combinaciones mecánicas de dos o más sustancias en proporciones no definidas dentro de las cuales las sustancias constituyentes conservan sus propiedades individuales y son separables por medios físicos ordinarios. Para sustancias puras complejas formadas por dos o más elementos en proporciones definidas que pierden sus propiedades individuales y se mantienen unidos por enlaces químicos, use "compuesto."
