英文....	Single-masted sailing vessels built with deadrise construction, decked, with a cabin and generally carrying a triangular mainsail and jib, set on a sharply raking mast; a few two-masted, or three-sail examples were built; introduced onto the Chesapeake Bay in the mid-19th century and usually used for oyster dredging.

Te gebruiken voor eenmastzeilschepen die zijn voorzien van vlaktilling, een dek, een kajuit en meestal een driehoekig grootzeil en fok aan een smalle mast; er zijn een aantal exemplaren met twee masten of drie zeilen gebouwd; halverwege de 19e eeuw in Chesapeake Bay, in de Verenigde Staten, geïntroduceerd en meestal gebruikt voor de oestervangst.
西班牙語....	Úsese para buque de vela de un único mástil, construido con construcción de astilla muerta, con cubierta, una cabina y generalmente transportando una vela principal triangula y un foque, dispuesta sobre un mástil agudamente inclinado; unos pocos ejemplares de dos mástiles o tres velas fueron construidas. Fueron introducidas en la Bahía de Chesapeake a mediados del siglo XIX y generalmente se utilizaron para el dragado de ostras.
