具單排或雙排釦的合身短大衣或長大衣，具喇叭形下襬，有時於前方開口以露出底下的服裝，通常有大型圈領及翻領；主要由十八及十九世紀時的男女穿著，該服裝當時是設計成附有短披肩。至於前方開口以露出襯裙或前襟採用材質截然不同之三角形布片的女裝，則稱為「騎裝式開襟罩衣(連衣裙)」。

英文....	Double- or single-breasted three-quarter length or full-length fitted overcoats with flared skirts, sometimes open in the front to reveal garments underneath, usually with large collars and lapels; worn especially by men and women during the 18th and 19th centuries, originally made with short shoulder cape. For dresses open in front to show an underskirt or with a front gore of contrasting material, use "redingote (dresses)."
