最早的一種磚塊類型，由陽光曬乾，而非經由火燒硬化。曬磚的優點為成本低於燒結磚，但一般較不耐用。很適合在乾燥氣候中使用。若是內含稻草或其它黏接劑的曬磚，則特別稱為「土坯磚（adobe）」。

英文....	The earliest type of brick, it is baked in the sun rather than hardened by the heat of a fire. Sun-dried brick has the advantage of being less expensive than fired brick but is generally less durable; it is well-suited to dry climates. For sun-dried brick containing straw and other binders, use the more specific "adobe."
荷蘭語....	De vroegste soort baksteen, gebakken in de zon in plaats van in een vuur. Leemsteen heeft als voordeel dat het minder duur is dan in vuur gebakken steen, maar is in het algemeen minder duurzaam. Het is zeer geschikt voor gebruik in een droog klimaat.
西班牙語....	El tipo más antiguo de ladrillo, cocido por el sol y no endurecido por el calor del fuego. El ladrillo secado por el sol tiene la ventaja de ser más barato que el cocido en horno, pero es en general menos durable. Se adapta bien a climas secos.
