英文....	Refers to works produced since the 1960s that employ human bodies as the medium of expression; may be in the form of performance art, or the artist using his own body as a focus or theme. For the branch of the visual arts involving the decoration and embellishment of the human body see "body arts."
荷蘭語....	Verwijst naar werken, gemaakt vanaf de jaren 60 van de 20ste eeuw, waarin het menselijk lichaam wordt gebruikt als belangrijkste expressiemiddel. Dit kan zijn in de vorm van een performance of in een vorm waarbij de kunstenaar het eigen lichaam gebruikt als middelpunt of thema. Zie 'lichaamskunst' voor de tak van beeldende kunsten waarbij decoraties en versieringen worden aangebracht op het menselijk lichaam.
