一種含鎘的永久性黃色顏料。最早的鎘黃顏料於西元1817年由弗雷德里奇．史托梅耶（Friedrich Strohmeyer）在德國以硫化鎘合成調製而成。相異的粒子大小和化學成分會產生不同的顏色，範圍由亮黃到橘色。1920年代，利用鎘顏料與硫酸鋇共沉澱，以形成價格較低的鎘鋅（鎘黃cadmopone）顏料。

英文....

Permanent, yellow pigment containing cadmium. Earliest pigments were composed of cadmium sulfide, synthetically prepared in Germany by Friedrich Strohmeyer in 1817. Variations in particle size and chemical composition produce as range of colors from light yellow to orange. In the 1920s, the cadmium pigments were co-precipitated with barium sulfate to form the cheaper cadmium lithopone (cadmopone) pigments.
